Health foods contain a certain amount of effective ingredients that can regulate the body's functions and have specific effects, suitable for specific groups of people. General foods do not have specific functions and have no specific range of people who can consume them.
Health foods cannot be directly used to treat diseases; they are regulators of human body mechanisms and nutritional supplements. Medicines, on the other hand, are directly used to treat diseases.
The human body needs many nutrients, such as water, protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. Nutritional products generally are rich in these nutrients and are suitable for everyone. For example, milk is rich in protein, fat, and calcium, and it has high nutritional value and is suitable for everyone to drink. Health foods, however, have specific health functions and are only suitable for specific groups of people; their nutritional value is not necessarily high. Therefore, the various nutrients the human body needs should still be obtained from three meals a day.
Of course, health products are better in some aspects. Health products can provide more benefits in terms of fixed health functions compared to nutritional products. The minerals in the human body are not balanced, so health products have a greater advantage in certain aspects.
